So I was asked by the Small Business Administration to do a webinar on CRMs. I said "Of course!" I mean, that was a natural response. As I started developing the webinar, I realized, I was not practicing what I was about to preach. I had gotten so caught up in building my product and service offerings, that I forgot to reach out to people.
Mistake number 1 - Losing Track
Life happened for two solid years. I mean family seemed like they were each taking many turns being in hospitals, dealing with all kinds of ailments. But when they were out and on the mend, I did not return to keeping in touch. Let's face it, life happens. But it's not too late to reconnect.
Mistake number 2 - Old Contact Information
I looked at my list of contact and noticed email addresses from the 90's. Yeah, I said the 90's you AOL users. I needed to update my contact information to keep my list relevant.
Mistake number 3 - Stopped asking about them
I lost track of so many people that I did not know where anyone worked or what was happening to them in life. Where was my head? It was full of the worries of life. GOD wants me to have an abundant life and that means communicating with HIS people.
